About us
Offshore engineering, delivered with technical rigour
Kratos Engineering Group provides multi-discipline engineering support to operators, EPC contractors and asset owners working across offshore and marine environments.
Who we are
For more than four decades we have delivered multi-discipline engineering to the offshore energy and marine industries, from concept studies and detailed design through to construction support and decommissioning. We work on offshore installations, subsea infrastructure and the projects that connect them: structural assessment, marine and subsea systems, integrity management, fabrication engineering and project delivery.
Our work is engineering-led. Deliverables are produced against recognised offshore design and safety codes, internally checked, and issued with the assumptions and limitations stated explicitly, so that a client can rely on the output rather than interpret it.
With 1,800 engineering specialists we are equally comfortable supporting a single technical query and embedding within a client's project team for the duration of a modification or new-build scope.

Principles
How we approach engineering work
State the basis
Every analysis starts from an agreed technical basis: codes, loads, operating envelope and interfaces. If the basis changes, the work is re-evaluated.
Show the working
Calculations, models and assumptions are documented so an independent reviewer can follow the reasoning and challenge it.
Flag uncertainty
Where data is missing or a conclusion is sensitive to an assumption, we say so plainly rather than presenting a false precision.
Design for the field
Deliverables account for how the work will actually be fabricated, installed and maintained offshore, not just how it analyses.
Respect the safety case
Engineering changes are considered against the existing safety case and management of change process from the outset.
Keep records
Project documentation is retained so that future inspection, modification or decommissioning work has a reliable starting point.

Discuss your offshore engineering requirement
Send us the technical scope and we will come back with an assessment of how we can support it, including the disciplines required and the information we need to quote.
